ARDESTO Electric Boilers: Minimal Investment and Easy Installation
Reducing gas consumption opens the door to alternatives: electric boilers are becoming one of the most relevant heating solutions. The main advantage of ARDESTO models is the speed of setting up a heating system. In terms of energy efficiency, electric boilers operate at a 1:1 ratio – that is, 1 kW of consumed electricity produces 1 kW of heat. Of course, this is not the highest efficiency indicator compared to, for example, condensing gas boilers or domestic heat pumps. So why should you choose an electric boiler?
Versatility of Use
If a gas line is not connected to your home, alternative heating methods must be considered. An electrical network is far more common than a gas pipeline, which means in most cases an electric boiler can be used. It’s also worth noting that, unlike gas boilers, electric boilers have an efficiency of about 100%, as there are virtually no heat losses during the conversion of electrical energy into heat. Even condensing boilers operating in low-temperature mode have an efficiency of 94–98%. However, some manufacturers of condensing boilers claim “fantastic” efficiency rates of 103%, 105%, or even 114%. What’s behind that?
The secret lies in mathematical manipulation: manufacturers calculate efficiency separately for the lower and higher heating values, then sum those results. In reality, efficiency should be calculated only based on the lower heating value before applying the correct boiler efficiency formula.
No Project Required
Most people have gone through the “nine circles of hell” when developing and approving a gas project – a process that also requires a significant budget. When using electric boilers, all of this becomes unnecessary.
Minimal Investment
Even compared to a budget gas boiler, an electric one will cost less. And compared to a domestic heat pump, the difference may be tenfold! More demanding users may point out that a heat pump is more energy efficient, meaning electricity costs will be lower during operation. That’s true – but let’s calculate the investment. Let’s assume the price of a 9 kW electric boiler with a programmer is around 19–20 thousand UAH. A heat pump of the same capacity will cost 10–15 times more. Additionally, such equipment requires extra components, which may cost at least half of the pump’s price – not including installation!
Connecting an electric boiler to an existing heating system costs approximately 4–5 thousand UAH, while connecting a heat pump will require several times more. Therefore, if we consider initial investments, it becomes clear that the difference in electricity costs will take years or even decades to balance out. For heating a residential house of up to 200 m², an electric boiler remains the most economically feasible and practical solution.
Easy Installation and Connection
An electric boiler only needs to be mounted on the wall and connected to the heating and domestic hot water (DHW) systems – meaning almost any plumber can handle the installation.
Quality, Technology, and Accessibility
ARDESTO electric boilers can function as a fully independent heat generator for heating and DHW systems, or as part of a more complex heating setup. The product lineup includes two series: traditional and smart boilers.
In particular, ARDESTO Smart boilers feature a graphical LCD display with a user-friendly interface and a complete set of functions designed to ensure high energy efficiency. All devices come with a 24-month warranty, and there is a wide network of service centers where professional assistance is available if needed.
