The inner tank is made of stainless steel and has a non-stick coating, it ensures easy cleaning and prevents milk from overcooking. The design provides a 360° rotation system on the stand, so the frother is extremely convenient to use, an ergonomic handle and an LED indicator that displays the status of the device and the frothing process.
Modes’ selection and automatic shutdown
The tank’s volume is 500 ml: fill it up to the brim or up to half (250 ml) to heat milk and to prepare persistent, fluffy foam. The convenient interface allows to choose one of four modes: warm and thick milk foam, warm and moderately thick milk foam, hot milk with a handful of foam, cold foam. At the end of the frothing process or after a period of inactivity, the foam maker automatically shuts down to save energy and safety.
More than just a frother
As already mentioned, the device has four operating modes, but one of them makes it really special. The function of heating milk or other liquid to a fixed temperature (45/60/70/80 °C) turns ARDESTO MBC-Y500B into a unique small kettle. This mode is perfect for heating water for tea or coffee, milk for children's cocktails, even wine for mulled wine, without the risk of overheating or boiling over, because the device automatically shuts down after reaching the set temperature. The design also ensures additional usability: if the MBC-Y500B mostly serves as a “kettle”, then the plastic frother wheel, located at the bottom, can be easily removed and used exclusively for frothing milk as needed.
